  Who On This Site Would You Like To Meet?

  there are a lot of interesting people that frequent this site.. sometimes, we get an idea of what the posters are really like in "real life".

  and i'm sure i could be easily surprised by some that you think might be strong personalities because of their board presence, and in reality, they might be shy in a face to face setting.. i would enjoy meeting simon.

  simon used to be terribly annoyed by my posting and now i think he's accepted with tolerance my being here.. farkel seems like a grouchy cantankerous fellow but i think he'd be very interesting company!.

  Let's see...Talesin, New Chapter, Zid, BOTR... Deist is one of the posters I first got PMs from...Stillthinking is awesome! Cofty seems cool.

  (If I were to be general, then anyone who's interested in art, who's anti-corporal-punishment, who doesn't believe in the Bible, who was perhaps a born-in JW or had a similar childhood as me, I would probably like to meet. Or something. I always have a hard time with meeting people because I always realize that they disagree with SOMETHING that is very important to me- not just political opinions or opinions on minor social issues or tastes in style and such. So it's hard to want to meet people sometimes, becuase I hate that experience. Such is the life of the constantly dissapointed. That, or I'd worry about annoying them with my mere presence, which is a constant fear of mine. But I'd risk it to meet some of my favorite posters on here :D).

  How do you feel about pranks/practical jokes?

  i've always felt kind of torn on the subject.

  but honestly, i don't like pranks.

  in general i think they're unkind, especially when done to a child, an animal, an elderly person, or someone already stressed/distraught or not in good mental health.. i've always really hated two things: 1) seeing people embarrased.

  Prank phone calls are bad, but Bart Simpson-type ones are rather funny. Goofy ones.

  I agree that not all practical jokes are bad. But so many are just so mean. I do't get it.

  I used to watch punkd when I was younger, a little. But I never liked it much.

  in general i think they're unkind, especially when done to a child, an animal, an elderly person, or someone already stressed/distraught or not in good mental health.. i've always really hated two things: 1) seeing people embarrased.

  I dont like things that make people feel bad in any way. I like light hearted goofy funny humor. The other day at McD's I replaced the girls straws (they are 3 years old) with a long french fry...lol they laughed so hard and called me silly :) I guess I dont like pranks but i love pulling someones leg.

  i was remembering the 1980s when it was in vogue to shun children.

  they went through a fad when they'd call unbaptized excommunication as "disassociation".

  within a short period of time, most of the teens and preteens were "disassociated" or disfellowshipped.

  I know a girl who was not baptized but was going in service, got reproved, and got ignored even more than she already was. Poor girl.

  I've always really hated two things: 1) seeing people embarrased. god, do I hate that. And 2) (even more so) seeing people become dissapointed. It tears me up to see someone become happy just to be dissapointed when they discover they are having some joke played on them.

  But, that's just me.

  So what does everyone else think...?
